Our ethos and goals of CHG South West are to provide a select variety of services that complement each other, and by being true to what our Directors and team excel at, which is first class customer service and standards in our fields of expertise.
CHG South West Directors
Ashley, John and Robin are the three directors of CHG South West, with a wealth of experience they bring together their own skills and strengths. The Directors head up a strong, highly skilled and dedicated team to guarantee your project is completed to a first-class standard.
Robin was born and raised locally in a farming background but quickly decided that was not the route that he wanted to take. After training for his electrical apprenticeship with a local company he decided to travel and spent time in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Ukraine before returning to England and working in the solar fields across the country. Robin was involved in the design and installation of many of the solar fields that you see.
Robin is heavily involved in all aspects of the business, from running the electrical department to overseeing the finances of the company.
He lives with his wife and newly born daughter, Philippa. Any free time he has away from work, Robin can be found hacking up a golf course somewhere!
John has over 17 years’ experience as a water engineer providing domestic and commercial clients solutions to their water quality issues including water softeners, low water pressure or flow, borehole and well water treatment, as well as legionella and other water harbouring bacteria.

John lives in Somerset with his wife and 4 children. Away from work he is heavily involved with the children’s work in his local church and a wide range of sports and activities that his children are involved in.
Ashley has over 30 years’ experience in the trade. He started out as a trainee plumber with a local company at 16, before working in South Germany for 18 months in Bavaria. Here he quickly learnt the language and developed his plumbing and heating skills further whilst learning more about Renewable technologies.
Ashley now specialises in Domestic and Commercial plumbing and heating and Renewable technologies, focusing on the long term direction of the company, meeting key clients and developing new customer relationships.
Ashley lives locally with his wife and two children and outside of work enjoys skiing, cricket, fishing, cycling and the various other sports his sons are involved in.
